• Explain the Alliance and legal requirements for safe manual handling
• Use the TILE risk assessment framework before any manual handling task
• Demonstrate the correct technique for lifting, carrying and lowering loads
• Identify when a load must not be moved and how to escalate correctly
• Report manual handling injuries and near misses accurately and immediately
